Who is Mrs. Diamond?

Mrs. Diamond is a teacher, mother and wife. I live with my husband Matt and children, Allison who is also in 4th grade here at North Star and Colson who is a spunky two year old. For years, ever since I was little and in elementary school, I have had a love for music. I began piano lessons when I was in third grade and began playing trombone in fourth. As a middle school student I decided I wanted to be a music teacher!

2002-2013: Somerset Marching Band

Music adds so much to our lives: we hear it when we go shopping, watch movies & T.V., eat meals, ride in the car. Music is everywhere and it helps us to have fun or relax. Music is everywhere! Come enjoy music with me!

  

Goals:

1.     To instill a love for music in all children
2.     For students to create music together
3.     To teach students how to read basic rhythms
4.     To teach students how to read basic pitches on the music staff.
5.     For students to be able to keep a steady beat and move to music.
6.     To train the students ears so that they can always sing on pitch.
