Principal

My goal as your Principal is to provide the leadership that will facilitate a school environment to provide the best possible academic instruction to meet the needs of each student to the best of our ability.  At North Star Central Elementary School, we strive to provide the best educational opportunities for all of our students. In order to accomplish this task, our teachers utilize various teaching techniques to meet the students' learning styles in order to best educate them in the foundational skills such as mathematical computations, reading fluency and comprehension. We use technology to assist in the instruction of our lessons. Smart Board technology, Schoology, Study Island and Google classroom are just some tools we use to assist with learning.  Our educational program is academically challenging, engages each student by linking the curriculum to previous knowledge and experience, and promotes further learning and the exploration of new ideas.  We are very proud of our MTSS Multi-Tiered System of Supports) program.  Our MTSS framework is designed to help teachers identify struggling students early and intervene quickly.  Our mission is always to encourage and educate students to be confident, knowledgeable, responsible and productive citizens in an ever-changing world.

Through a close partnership with staff members and parents, I am confident that we can make our school a place where our students will continue to learn and grow academically.
