Scrabble Tournament Information
4th Grade Scrabble Tournament Information
Students in 4th grade will have the opportunity to participate in the Scrabble Tournament that will take place in school during February. Students will compete against their classmates in several games of scrabble, the scores will be averaged and the four students with the highest scores will be asked to go to represent North Star at the Somerset County Scrabble Tournament in May in Somerset. This will take place during the school day and transportation to and from the tournament must be provided by the parent/guardian. Students do not have to participate in the Scrabble tournament, this is an optional school activity. They will be given information about the tournament in school and then given the option to sign up if they choose to participate.
*Students participating will be monitored during the games at school and any dishonest play and/or cheating will result in removal from the tournament.
