BOOK-IT!

I am excited to announce that our class will be participating in the BOOK IT! Reading Program this year. It will take place from October 1st, 2018 until March 31st 2019. Through BOOK IT!, your child has the opportunity to earn Reading Reward Certificates by meeting a monthly goal. Our monthly goal will be 300 minutes, only 10 minutes a night! Each Reading Reward Certificate can be redeemed at Pizza Hut. Your child will receive a free personal pan pizza to celebrate their reading achievement!

Each month I will send home a reading log for you and your child to complete together. For each night you read together you need to write the name of the book, and how many minutes you read for. This can either be you reading aloud to the child, or your child reading aloud to you. At the end of the month, return the Reading Log with your signature and your child will earn their certificate to take with them to Pizza Hut. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask! We want to make reading fun for your child!
